Berlei Bra Care

Here are a few tips on looking after your bra to make sure it lasts as long as possible. These are only general tips, always follow the bra washing instructions on the label of each bra.

Washing

WASHING

As a general rule, handwashing your bras is the best way to preserve them. Wash them in cold water using a gentle detergent. If you decide to wash your bras in the washing machine, use a good quality lingerie bag so they don’t get tangled or damaged. Fasten them so they won’t catch, tear or be pulled our of shape. Set the machine to the delicate cycle on the lowest temperature, and use a gentle detergent.

Drying

DRYING

It’s best to allow your bra to drip dry, using a towel to blot off any excess water, and laying the bra flat to dry naturally. Never hang or dry them directly over a heater, and avoid wringing them out or putting them in the dryer.

Storage

STORAGE

Storing your bras properly in the drawer can help them last as long as possible. Fold moulded cup bras in half and place one cup inside the other to prevent bending and denting. Stack your bras vertically side by side in the drawer.

REPLACING YOUR BRA

The life of a bra depends a lot on how it’s cared for. Rotating your bras is important. Try not to wear the same bra two days in a row so the fabric has time to recover. As a guide, if an everyday bra is rotated with another 3-4 bras, it should last up to two years.
