As hot water can damage some fabrics like lace, embroidery and elastic, it is recommended that you hand wash your lingerie in cool water. This will help keep it in top condition.

If you choose to wash your lingerie in the washing machine, use a gentle setting and use a lingerie wash bag. Washing machines can quite often misshape underwires, but using a lingerie wash bag will help keep your bras in shape. Lingerie wash bags will also prevent the underwires from damaging your machine, in the event that they come out of your bra.

Drip-dry your lingerie flat in the shade. If you hang your bras, hang them in half—do not hang them from the shoulder strap or back strap. Avoid using pegs as they can damage delicate fabrics.

Using a tumble dryer to dry your lingerie is not recommended. If you must, use the coolest cycle.
